Life isn’t always a cake walk. We suffer. We go through hard trials. We feel pain. It is what we do with that pain that matters.

In the midst of the pain, we know we can cry out to the LORD and He hears us.

Psalms 120:1 King James Version (KJV) says:

In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

We also know that in Romans 8::17 AMP says:

And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

The Bible also says in Psalm 147:3 AMP

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow].

The gold over the wounds/scars represents the healing and also the Glory Jesus will gain from our suffering. Just because we heal, does not mean there aren’t scars. Scars are testament of God’s goodness of our survival and victory. They say, “I won” and show that you have healed and came through.

Isaiah 43:2 NLT says:

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
